history of costume, dress

I persiani indossarono lunghe tuniche sovrapposte
molto decorate e asimmetriche sulle spalle.
ampia balza all’orlo.
tempo detti a corolla

Hi girls today I speak of my own regarding the history of costume, deepening the topic of the long dress.
Use the generic term indicates the single dress
garment or the set of garments worn; nell'accezione specific fashion history and tailoring technique feminine, the dress is the type of leader vestimentary intero.Le apparel origins coincide with the evolution of the tunic, garment basis of tradition abbigliamentaria ancient and oriental.
The evolution of this leader brought to cover the entire body, even more layers. An internal coat, color
vivid, the kandis and one outside the kaunace printed diagonally to form a series of cliffs and fringes, make up the costume Assyrian-Babylonian. The Persians wore long tunics overlapping
very decorated and asymmetrical shoulders. Egyptian women had what could be considered
the first female garment: the kalasiris, simple and straight, with no cut, obtained
with a single piece of cloth. It bandaged the body and was retained by straps, can be considered
forerunner of the more recent "nude look" when it is made of fine linen fabric pleated, processing typical of the finest Egyptian linens. At the time of the Greek temples were majestic, haughty
as the clothes of women. From a description of Homer, we read: "the national dress, the peplum is
a kind of shawl held on with two pins, and leaves open side down in folds
wavy who repeat the effect of the columns of the temples. Sometimes the top is folded and is
let fall forming those fascinating drapes that we see in the frieze of the Parthenon. "
In Athens the Doric chiton or peplum is a very large rectangle with two sides sewn: robe tubular
is held on the shoulder by a series of pins or brooches. Life is marked by a rich belt,
the fabric is often plissettato.A Rome, the women wear the long tunic tube, called
stole, coming down to the foot, with gold edging, narrow at the waist with a belt and above covered by a shawl, the pallium or the ball, that is a big rectangular cloak that enveloped also capo.La structure Costume After Mille, the costume looks like a reworking of the robes of Byzantine origin: the women wear a double tunic. That below, made in
canvas, less extensive and less rigid, alongside the body with long, narrow sleeves. Above is worn the other colored tunic, made of fabric heavier and more valuable, sometimes shorter than the first. The latter has long sleeves, very extended to the bottom, with
smerlature affrappate and borders fur. During the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries the first skirts are adhering to the bust, have life slightly high, wide at the bottom, long and precious, present
embroidery and trimmings, with different names depending on the location. In the fifteenth century the woman's dress is defined by a skirt or Gamurra, a dress fitting, used to stay at home, or to exit, but never without cioppa.izantino has two tunics overlapping, following the Roman type. At the end of the fifteenth century the figures are more slender and tapered,
but have wide hips and garments that enhance the mother figure and feminine from bulging belly. The new styles not only open the way to new clothes but also to a new way of seeing
life, religion and morality. While the clothes of Medieval and Early Renaissance were
generally intact, now settled permanently detachment of the skirt from the bust. Throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries the woman's dress is constructed in separate sections by means of scaffolding
rigid. In 1700 are imported from India the exotic printed cotton fabrics, oriental flavor that conquer the European courts for the lightness and fantasy: is used to meter in the new French fashion apparel flying, robe ruffles, born of the Rococo style revolution, which during the Regency period, free fashion by affectations of the majesty of the King's court Sole.se an elliptical shape, developing the volume of the skirt only the hips and crushing the front and back.
The chemise à la reine, worn by Queen Marie Antoinette in the portrait of the painter fashionable, Elisabet Vigee Lebrun, was the launch of an innovative style of eastern origin: it was a dress-shirt in lightweight muslin, right, with long sleeves and waist band. The amplitude was restrained by a drawstring at the neckline, a curl layered sleeves and a
wide ruffle hem. The whiteness of the fabric and the soft line made it the aesthetic model to pursue, in perfect harmony with the Enlightenment. Neoclassical period in the recovery of the stylistic elements of ancient greek-roman.
800 a year that makes you dream! The whole outfit has never been the prerogative of the popular classes, given the high
footage of fabric required: the commoners wore simple blouses, skirts curled in natural canvas and corsets to support the breast; was inevitable the apron.
The Journal of the new fashions of France and England in October 1792 announced: "What's New for women are the aprons women of the house is the home of fashion, fashion as a shepherdess, comfortable." The whole outfit is the main leader of women's clothing, and evolves its proportions in relation to the emergence of the fashions of the upper classes: a tube during the Napoleonic era and the restoration, bell until mid-nineteenth century, until the dome 1870, a campanula
until 1910. The suit, marked by the male clothing, appears to 1885 wore on cul de paris, the padded cushion that brings out the back, also brought under his clothes at home or in versions elegant evening gowns. In 1889, the Eiffel Tower stands the Paris skyline like a huge lattice: its fine line and flared bottom is the same as the women's clothes
time said corolla
.The Movement Liberty, the Vienna Secession, Jugendstil, looking for natural decorative forms, identify the female silhouette in floral shapes graceful: calla lily, bellflower. To adapt to such models, depending on the mode, the body is forced once again, in unnatural forms: a spinning top, S, V
At the beginning of the twentieth century, with the couturier Paul Poiret, women nourish the body lines with soft fabrics and not restrictive forms that identify a new concept of elegance. The twenties with the line pipe have determined the most important innovation compared to the previous century, for the first time the waist is not stressed by cuts.
